What is the type of coat to get for my body type?
Ok, so, it's either I'm really, really picky or my body type just doesn't look good in certain types of coats. I really like pea coats and trench coats, but I never like them on me. I have a curvy type body shape, and I was wondering what type of coat you would recommend for me. I also really like motorcycle jackets and noticed that I look good in those. Any other kinds you would recommend?

you would look good in trench coats because they tie at the waist, giving you shape. w.e you do, DO NOT go for the big puffer jackets to hide your curves....total fashion no. dont hide yourself, accentuate what you have with ties at the waist, and cute details.

Peacoats come in both shorter and longer styles, and since they are very in style right now there are a lot around to try on. These (as far I know) should look good on all body types if you have tried the right ones on. Go for something that’s long and lean, with vertical sections and stitching. A belt on a peacoat is also a good choice. Make sure that you don’t try and fit into any coat that is too small, especially if it is double breasted (having two rows of buttons), because then the buttons will become off center and look really odd. The most important thing about buying clothes is that they fit well, then they can go for any body shape and size.
Bomber (motorcycle) jackets are also in style this season. These are usually leather (fake or real, you can’t tell the difference) and have fur around the cuffs and hood. These would not give as much of a fitted/slim look, but if you like them and think you look good in them then you should certainly buy one, they are both comfortable and practical.
I would recommend a down jacket in a long or medium length, with, as I noted before, vertical stitching.
One last note: stay away from plaid pattern coats this year. A solid color will always look better! Good luck!
