What body type would a child have if the father is average/thin and the mother is slightly overweight?
Father's side is Asian (average height) and mostly thin to average body weight and the mother is slightly overweight with other family members ranging from stocky to very overweight but tall ---- what would the kid's body type be like?

I'd say there is a 50/50 chance either way.
I heard somewhere that they have their fathers height & mother weight...
Doubt thats true.

It’s not just the parents, it goes back farther. some genes seem to be “stronger” than others. Everyone in my family has a “beaky” nose except me. I have a short round upturned nose. It’s my great-grandmother’s nose (from photos). One of my 5 cousins has the same nose, the rest all have beaky noses. So it can go back several/many generations. You don’t always look only like one parent or the other.
