what are the drills they do to improve these skills
no plyometrics makes you more explosive

    Plyometrics develops not just explosiveness but balance as well. It works your core muscles which are responsible for balance, and hence, body control. For footwork, jumping/skipping rope as well as side-to-side lateral drills are very helpful.
